Same Old Story.

I'm so behind on the blogging thing. Since Dede arrived on the 18th of November, we've been running around Nagano-ken, sightseeing and such. I've pretty much taken him to places I've already been to, but this time, thanks to his camera, I have much nicer photos to show!



Cute, cute doggies at a pet shop we came across :) We walked back past at night, and they were covered with a cardboard box; they must be so cold!





Pretty little girl. She was dressed up for shichi-go-san, although it was a little late. I saw her mother later on hitting her over the head :s

Matsumoto Castle; this time I got to go in!


















My favourite shot that Dede made of the castle; so beautiful! But it took time too; I was freezing sitting out on the pavement!





Funny shop that doesn't use racks, only mannequins!

    Hello! Thanks so much for your comment :) I'm always happy to hear that there are people other than my family and friends that take a look! These photos are pretty amazing, my boyfriend is quite talented. However, he'll be going to Hakuba to work soon so it'll be back to my normal camera :p How's the application to Altia going?

    I'm not really sure yet, which is a bit scary considering there is only about a month left of work! My boyfriend had an interview with Altia recently so my fingers are crossed he'll get in and hopefully we can be placed somewhere close to each other. I understand the chance of that is very slim though

The last time I went to Japan, I was really home-sick.  Recently I realised that I never really comprehended that I would actually have to leave .  It was quite silly really, now that I think about it.  However it's easy to do. The original plan this time around was for me to get a job, go over, and D would follow in about a month.  Things changed, and now he's decided to go over three months later.  Initally it was no problem, but now that the time for me to depart is getting closer and closer, once again I'm in the same situation.  Only this time, I'm going to be really alone.  No other exchange students who are in the same situation.  Everyday I think about how awesome and hard this is going to be.  But I know I'm going to a really lovely place, I'm going to be making new friends and my Japanese is going to be awesome...eventually! Plus there's Skype.  And until he gets there I'll keep myself busy and in contact, and time will fl...

Another Post for Today!

Thought I should put up some of the photos that others have added of me on Facebook: I think I look about 10 years old in this one! Terrible photo of me! I never realised my hair colour was so light Welcoming Party...oh yes I love photos. Especially when they stand there for ages and I know it's about to happen. You're bound to get a lovely photo out of it. Pfft. The colour of my skin looks weird, and something is not quite right with my face! It's weird, I can't work it out... On a side note, 売買, pronounced baibai means buying and selling. Easy as! I'll have no trouble forgetting that one! Okay, back to study :D

Sweating in Japan

Today I tried to get to the hospital to have my mandatory medical check done, but I had no luck.  It was supposed to be opposite Starbucks, which took me a long time to find (no one said I was to exit the station through the south side...).  A museum was opposite.  Silly me didn't think to look across the road, where I realised it was after re-checking the map at the hotel.  It must've been the humidity, I can't think properly!  Anyway, it's now 11.30am, so there isn't enough time to go back.  The hospital is only open from 9:00am - 12:00pm, and then 5:00pm - 7:00pm, so this is the last chance I have! In the meantime, I read this great article about sweating in Japan.  It is certainly something that is really embarrassing for me.  Not only that, I turn bright red as soon as I start to feel warm *sigh* http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/fl20100724cz.html
