Influenza and Snowboards

Sorry for my online absence, but I have been very busy, and not busy at all. For a while I thought my laptop was dying, because it wasn't turning on :( I think it's okay now, fingers crossed. It's been a while, and I'm sure I will miss out a lot of things but I will try to remember the important parts...and this time I have photos. Goodie!  A few weeks ago I was in Hakuba again, riding the slopes (haha). I find it hilarious that I love snowboarding so much, considering my whole life I haven't really gotten into the whole 'loving sports' thing. I remember in my last year of High School a couple of friends and I hated sport so much we convinced the sport teacher to just let us walk around the town for exercise, rather than getting involved in sweaty, dirty sports. Now I feel it was a bit of a cop out, probably could've benifited from the exercise. Not to worry! And other than being a sport, it's a winter sport! I hate the cold, but I really enjoy g...

Same Old Story.

I'm so behind on the blogging thing. Since Dede arrived on the 18th of November, we've been running around Nagano-ken, sightseeing and such. I've pretty much taken him to places I've already been to, but this time, thanks to his camera, I have much nicer photos to show! My favourite shot that Dede made of the castle; so beautiful! But it took time too; I was freezing sitting out on the pavement! Funny shop that doesn't use racks, only mannequins! There are many more photos,...

久しぶり~

I have missed so many opportunities to talk about my life in Japan so far.  There have been highs, and there have been lows.  No matter how ready you think you are for, anything really, you never really are.  In the past two weeks or so, my luck has changed, and I've been really happy.  Still lonely, adjusting to life on my own, but I know it's not going to be forever.  Like I said, my luck has changed :) At the moment it's 10.26pm, and I'm sitting on a futon in my small little living room, listening to the constant rain, coming in heavy with typhoon number 15.  Now is as good as ever to get updated, right? Most of you who will be reading this are probably up to date on what I've been up to through Facebook or Skype.  I'm too lazy to write about every little thing that has happened up until this stage, but from now on I will do my best to keep up with this! My fir...
